Puppet & Magic Show - City of Menlo Park

All ages are welcome to attend a free Puppet & Magic Show featuring two outstanding Bay Area performers: Steve Chaney and Dante.

Steve will delight children with his comedic puppeteering and voices, while Dante will amaze everyone with an award-winning magic performance.

The performers
For 20 years, Steve Chaney and his partner, “Corny Crow,” have presented their unique show for children and adults throughout Canada, from the east to west coast in the U.S. for fairs, festivals, schools and libraries. Either performing his hilarious show onstage or presenting his humor with a message to schools, Steve’s warmth and humor comes through in all his performances. Plenty of audience participation by using volunteers as people puppets whose answers to Steve’s questions in comical voices amaze the audience and themselves as well, a very hilarious sequence that is a must see.

As a child, Dante's father built props for professional touring magicians out of the workshop in their New York home. At ten, Dante began studying his art at the world famous "Tannen's Magic Camp". By twelve, he could be seen handing out his business card and performing at local community events. His passion to perform led him to study theater at New York University's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts. After moving to California, Dante's work expanded into television, commercials and print. He was cast to play himself on the Emmy nominated television show "Hip Hop Harry" that aired on the Discovery Kids network. In 2013, Dante was awarded San Francisco's Performer of the Year by RAW, an international independent art organization.
