Willow Road Interchange Unveiled Through SamTrans
Willow Road just got easier to navigate at Highway 101 with critical traffic improvements designed to relieve congestion and danger.
MENLO PARK, CA — SamTrans are celebrating with civic leaders the opening of the Willow Road interchange with U.S. Highway 101 in Menlo Park.
The ribbon cutting staged a week ago marked the reconfigured connection expected to dramatically improve traffic conditions in one of the busiest corridors on the San Francisco Peninsula.
The new interchange will also have eight lanes of traffic, widened ramps, new sidewalks and dedicated on-street and off-street bicycle lanes on the over crossing. The $83.4 million project was made possible by a $61.4 million Measure A allocation and a $10.4 million loan from the San Mateo County Transportation Authority, aka SamTrans.
