Unseasonably cold weather is ahead across the Bay Area as a strong cold front makes its way into town, the National Weather Service said Friday. The agency, who noted that we'll first see a slight warming trend, also said we can expect some gusty winds with the weather change.
"A significant change in the weather pattern is forecast on Sunday as a strong cold front will move across the district," the NWS said in its forecast discussion. "Some of the coldest temperatures of the season are likely early next week in wake of the frontal passage."
Temperatures are predicted to drop into the 40s some nights, with potentially the coldest weather of the year next week, the weather service said. This weekend will be sunny or mostly sunny during the day, the weather service said. Temperatures are expected to drop to 44 degrees Sunday night.
