Following the Pledge of Allegiance, the Millbrae City Council presented a proclamation proclaiming March 24, 2021 as Equal Pay Day 2021.

The City Council presented a commendation to the Millbrae Cultural Committee working to build a stronger community through cultural diversity.

The Millbrae City Council unanimously approved, with a vote of 5-0, items 6 and 7 on the consent calendar:

Item 6 – Resolution accepting the 2018-2019 Water Pollution Control Plant Improvements Project as complete and authorizing the filing of a notice of completion.

Item 7 – Resolution accepting the Millbrae Street Rehabilitation Project as complete and authorizing the filing of a notice of completion.

Items 5 was removed from the consent calendar for further discussion.

Item 8 – Appointments to Community Enhancement Advisory Committee and Cultural Arts Advisory Committee and Changes to Economic Vitality Advisory Committee – was removed from the agenda and continued to a future meeting.

Item 5 – The City Council unanimously approved a resolution adopting the revised salary schedule for management employees effective October 25, 2020, to move to salary range open bands for management employees, and standardize the financial services manager and executive staff ranges.

Item 9 – The City Council received the Millbrae Recreation Center Restoration Project Design and Construction Update and provided direction to City staff.

Item 11 – Accept the Fiscal Year 2020-21 Mid-Year Budget Report and adopt a resolution amending the 2020-21 adopted budget – was removed from the agenda and continued to a future meeting.

Item 12 – The City Council unanimously approved the adoption of an urgency ordinance to require large grocery stores and drugstores to provide hazard pay to their public facing employees during the pandemic.
