PG&E Stops Small Gas Leak in Millbrae
A crew forgot to call 811 to get gas lines marked in the area they were digging and ruptured a half-inch plastic gas line.

PG&E stopped a small gas leak in Millbrae Tuesday afternoon, a PG&E spokesman said.
The gas leak was reported at 12:29 p.m. in the area of 90 Colorados Drive, PG&E spokesman Nick Smith said.

A crew digging in the area ruptured a half-inch plastic gas line.
PG&E had the leak stopped by 1:14 p.m., Smith said.

The crew had not called 811 to get gas lines marked in the area.
Hot and dry conditions make it even more important to get gas lines marked before digging since fires can start easily, Smith said.
