San Benito Olive Festival

A Gourmet Celebration

The San Benito Olive Festival is proud to announce its third annual gourmet celebration of local agriculture and culinary delights. Taking place on Saturday, October 17, 2015, from 10am to 5pm in Bolado Park (near downtown Hollister), the festival is dedicated to offering guests a delectable day of exploring award-‐winning olive oils, world-‐class wines and craft beers, artisanal foods, fine chocolates and cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs.

The San Benito Olive Festival is a celebration that foodies and families won’t want to miss. Visitors can taste samples from local favorites like Oils of Paicines, Brigantino Olive Oil and the Farm Bertuccio’s. Moon Shadow Grove will be coming from Oroville, Papa Joe’s Spicy Products from Paso Robles, Kuki’s Bowl from Monterey and over a dozen wineries and craft breweries including Calera Wine, Fortino Winery, Guerra Cellars, and the Grillin & Chillin Alehouse to showcase their goods. Restaurants like Paine’s Restaurant from Hollister will also offer mouth-‐watering food to tantalize guests. Celebrity executive chefs Jason Giles from Portola Hotel and Spa in Monterey and Cal Stamenov of Bernardus Lodge & Spa from Carmel Valley are sure to inspire everyone with their live cooking demonstrations.

This foodie festival will be held in historic Bolado Park, a well-‐loved venue known as the home of the popular Saddle Horse Show & Rodeo since 1929 and the San Benito County Fair. The spacious venue is the perfect location for festival goers to mingle with local growers and artisans and enjoy live music and beautiful art with family and friends. Performers include Mr. O’s Jazz Band and 50s doo-‐wop by The Flashbacks. Gioia Italian Art from Los Gatos will be offering authentic handcrafted Italian ceramics and masks. New this year are the Botanical Family Fun (“BFF”) activities that parents and children can enjoy together.
