Trio Busted After Fraud Suspected At Peninsula Hotel

Police claim three men used another person's ID to book a room and pay for services.

SAN BRUNO, CA — Three men were arrested over the weekend after police were called for possible fruadulent transactions at a local hotel, the San Bruno Police Department said.

The business, on the 1000 block of Bayhill Drive in San Bruno, called police shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Saturday to report a fraudulent transaction allegedly occurred. Investigators determined a victim's "identifying information" was used to book a room and pay for goods and services at the hotel, the department said.

Identified and arrested as suspects in the case were 36 year-old San Francisco resident Samuel Picaso Jr., San Mateo resident Jose Rodriguez, 28, and Ricardo Garcia, 33 of Richmond, the department said.

The three were booked into the San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of fraud, forgery, false impersonation, criminal conspiracy and possession of a controlled substance, police said.

The agency did not identify the hotel.
