The Milley Awards are sponsored by the Mill Valley Art Commission and produced by the Milley Awards Board of Directors, a volunteer community group. Nominations are open throughout the year and judges change annually.

The award recognizes those who, through their accomplishments in the arts, have contributed to the creative life of the Mill Valley community. They have done this through their talents and actions in the state, national or international arenas. The Milley Awards celebrate living artists and artist-teachers who were born in Mill Valley, California, went to school here, work here, or have made their home here, and who have enriched our lives.
