July 30
10:54 a.m. — A resident of Tartan Road requested a police report to give to her insurance company for a $1,400 gold necklace with two gold charms that was stolen last December.

10:34 p.m. — A cab driver reported that a juvenile gave the wrong address and refused to pay, then tried to strike the driver after being out of the car. A “scuffle ensued,” and the passenger eventually calmed down and paid for a ride home to Evelyn Street.

4:15 p.m. — A caller who was pulled over on Carmelita Ave. reported that another vehicle intentionally bumped him from behind. There was a small scratch on his white Nissan Leaf, and no merit to the claim, poice said.
8:15 p.m. — A resident of Midhill Drive reported her mailbox and rock post were damaged, and that a neighborhood’s daughter said the mother at the residence hit the mailbox and the car is totaled. The driver admitted fault and they exchanged insurance information.
10:51 p.m. — An unlocked burnt orange 10 speed bike worth $400 and a grey helmet were taken from a bike rack on Miller Ave.
August 1
1:22 p.m. — A resident on Millay Place called to report a Ponzi scheme, saying she gave $30,000 in a shipping container investment but hasn’t received the 200 percent return that was promised.
1:40 p.m. — Someone broke into a locked car on Redwood Highway and stole a backpack containing gym clothes.
5:23 p.m. — There was a report of juveniles setting off fireworks on Eldridge Ave.
August 2
9:13 p.m. — A resident of Mesa Ave. reported that his neighbor said a dump truck owned by American Trucking company hit his car while dumping dirt on the corner. The neighbor said the driver got out of the trucked, looked at the caller’s car, then left. Police say there’s no evidence it was the dump truck. The neighbor heard a banging noise and saw the dump truck when looking out the window, but there were other trucks in the area.
August 4
1:55 p.m. — A child’s Fisher-Price Power Wheels Jeep was reported stolen from in front of a garage on Matilda Ave. It was green with orange trim and worth $450.
August 5
6:20 p.m. — A resident of Vasco Drive reported the master bedroom had been ransacked and jewelry was missing. No other areas of the house were touched, and kids and their grandfather were home and in and out of the house all day.
11:31 p.m. — Police received a noise complaint about loud band drumming in the area of the fire station on Corte Madera Ave. The band was asked to stop.
11:47 p.m. — A caller complained about loud music at Laurelwood and Sunnyside avenues, and a woman playing a guitar in her car was notified.
