Construction Notice - East Blithedale Street Maintenance & Sewer Rehabilitation Project

The City of Mill Valley is pleased to announce a street maintenance and sewer rehabilitation project that will take place this summer on East Blithedale Avenue. The project will involve improvements to the road surface to promote a smooth and quiet ride, new traffic markings, sewer pipe repair, and new manholes. While the project will cause short-term delays and traffic congestion over a period of two months, the benefits of this project will be significant, including the repair of sewer infrastructure and improved pavement conditions. Construction on East Blithedale from Elm/Alta Vista Avenue to Camino Alto will take place from June 24th through August 23rd, while schools are not in session, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. While East Blithedale will not be entirely closed to through traffic at any point, traffic will often be limited to one lane, and therefore delays and traffic congestion can be expected. If possible, we encourage you to plan alternate routes to avoid travel on East Blithedale. If you must drive on East Blithedale, add time to your travel estimates and anticipate delays.
