Drop Off Your Old Prescriptions This Saturday In Mill Valley

It's Drug Take-Back Day 2021: Time to empty out your medicine cabinet and safely dispose of expired & unused medications.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration is hosting its annual National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day Saturday, April 24 — a nationwide event intended to help prevent medication misuse, drug addiction, accidental poisonings and overdose deaths.

Throughout Mill Valley and Marin County, numerous locations will accept — safely and anonymously — residents' unwanted, unused or expired prescriptions.

"Too often, unused prescription drugs find their way into the wrong hands," the agency said, adding that the fallout can be "dangerous and often tragic."
