Free 'Tipsy Tows' Offered On July 4th In Northern California
AAA Northern California is offering free tows to prevent people from driving while intoxicated this Fourth of July.

NORTHERN CALIFORNIA – Don't see red, white and blue in your rearview mirror this Fourth of July. To prevent patriotic partygoers from driving while intoxicated, AAA Northern California is offering free tows on Independence Day.
"Increased traffic combined with celebrations that commonly involve alcohol makes the Fourth of July one of the most dangerous days on the road of the year," Michael Blasky, spokesman for AAA Northern California, said in a statement. "We want drivers to think twice about getting behind the wheel if they're impaired, while offering them a resource they can rely on if they find themselves in a precarious situation."
The "Tipsy Tow" program is for the entire Northern California region. Free tow service will be available from 6 p.m. Wednesday through 6 a.m. Thursday.
