MILL VALLEY, CA — The Mill Valley City Council has passed an amended wildfire prevention ordinance, The Marin Independent Journal reports.

The amended ordinance measure comes in response to a 2019 lawsuit filed mostly by anonymous plaintiffs seeking greater wildlife protections according to the report.

The lawsuit led to a $200,000 settlement for attorney fees and set aside $10,000 to fund vegetation management, the report said.
