City officials believe access improvements are essential to protect life and property during an emergency.

The projects may require grading or widening of roadways, or construction of retaining walls.

The project design is expected to be completed by July of this year and construction is expected to be completed this fall according to a project timeline posted on the city’s website that notes that these projections are subject to change.
