Mill Valley Library Extends ‘Civic Minded’ Book Club

The Civic Minded Book Club has been extended through late April with the addition of three meetings.

MILL VALLEY, CA — A book club with a social conscience has been extended by the Mill Valley Public Library.

The Civic Minded Book Club has been extended through late April with the addition of three meetings.

A discussion of “An American Lyric,” by Claudia Rankine will be held at the club’s next scheduled meeting Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

The club will discuss “What Unites Us: Reflections on Patriotism,” by Dan Rather in its March 31 meeting and “Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents,” by Isabel Wilkerson in an April 21 meeting.
Writer/editor Sarah Broderick will facilitate the meetings.
