Mill Valley Library Program Aims To Help Poets Step Up Their Game

The Mill Valley Public Library will host a virtual meeting Tuesday that might help.

The roundtable workshop will be held Tuesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Attendees at Tuesday’s meeting will share an original poem-in-progress and receive positive feedback and craft suggestions from fellow participants.

Longtime Marin County poet Calvin Ahlgren will facilitate this event, providing helpful direction and shaping a supportive environment.

The meeting will be held in collaboration with the Marin Poetry Center.

Participants are required to send their poetry submissions in a 12-point font or larger. Submissoins are limited to one page.

The library set initially set a Feb. 25 deadline for submitting entries for this event, but told Patch it will accept submissions past this deadline.
