Mill Valley Library Readies For Partial Reopening

The library will welcome patrons for limited browsing and use of its Tech Center will be capped at 30 minutes.

MILL VALLEY — The Mill Valley Public Library will open for in-person use starting next week, but don’t expect to read “War and Peace” inside the building anytime soon.

The library is asking the public to be aware that the partial reopening is for limited use to “avoid disappointment.”

The library will welcome patrons on a first-come, first serve basis for limited browsing and use of its Tech Center will be limited to 30 minutes per day.

“This will free up a spot for the next person to enter the building.”

Patrons seeking additional time at the Tech Center are encouraged to visit the library’s “Tech to Go” services.

Browsing and use of the Tech Center will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Curbside Service will continue seven days a week.

Sitting and hanging out in the library will not be permitted except for Tech Center appointments and ADA accommodations.

Patrons will be expected adhere to the state and local health guidelines that includes mask-wearing and social-distancing mandates while in the library.

“With your cooperation, things will run smoothly, and we can look forward to expanding hours and services,” the library said.
