Mill Valley Man Who Perished In Boating Incident ID'd

MILL VALLEY, CA — A Marin County man, reported missing Friday, April 16 from his boat in the Richardson Bay, was located and identified as Bruce Linwood Adams, 59 of Mill Valley, officials said.

Family and friends reported the individual missing from his boat, The Bristol, and fearing he fell overboard from the vessel, a search was conducted by the U.S. Coast Guard, responders and the public, the Marin County Sheriff's Office said.

Adams was discovered Sunday unresponsive and unconscious in the water and was taken by a private vessel to the Clipper Yacht Harbor and subsequently was declared deceased, officials said.

A forensic post-mortem examination with toxicology testing was scheduled last week, which will determine cause and manner of death, said the Marin County Sheriff’s Office - Investigations Division and the Marin County Sheriff’s Office - Coroner Division.

The Marin County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner Division extended condolences to Adams' family and friends.
