Mill Valley Music Shop, Chamber Ready For Sonic Celebration

MILL VALLEY, CA — An independent Mill Valley record store is readying for a sonic celebration of vinyl, and it’s getting a boost from the city’s Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber is promoting Mill Valley Music’s celebration of Record Store Day, a two-day event to support independent record stores.

The world’s largest event to support independent music shops started in 2007 to help independent shops struggling to stay afloat amid challenges of the digital age, the chamber wrote in a blog post on its website, Enjoy Mill Valley.

Mill Valley Music plans to open early June 12 and July 17 and will practice social distancing.

"Masks will be mandatory and if you don't have one we have masks supplied by the Mill Valley Chamber should you need one,” Mill Valley Music shop owner Gary Scheuenstuhl told the chamber.

“Hope to see you here!"
