It's never too early to start thinking about New Year's Eve! Here's your guide to events happening in and near Mill Valley.

MILL VALLEY, CA — Love it or hate it, New Year's Eve is happening again this year. Whether you plan to ring in 2018 at your favorite restaurant, a buzzing party with your friends, or all cozied up in front of the TV, we've got you covered.
So pop the bubbly, come up with some resolutions you can actually stick to and get ready to celebrate the New Year. - Celebrate New Year's Eve one day early at the Pre-New Year's Eve Singles Dance Party. The party takes place at The Club at Harbor Point in Mill Valley.
- Ring in 2018 with live music at the Mill Valley Community Center. New Year's Eve at the Center will feature opening act The Sonic Steps and headlining act Notorious. Enjoy complimentary Champagne plus appetizers, a no-host full bar and festive party favors.
- Ever wanted to watch 18,000 bouncy balls dropped onto the street from a 40-foot tall ladder truck? Well, now you can. Novato's Bouncy Ball New Year is free and will take place rain or shine. Kids will get a souvenir "hard hat" and can keep as many bouncy balls as they can get their hands on.
- Laugh in the New Year with the Other Cafe New Year's Eve Stand-Up Comedy Showcase. The 8th annual event returns to Kanbar Center for the Performing Arts at The Osher Marin Jewish Community Center in San Rafael. Don't miss the after-party with the comedians for the countdown and a complimentary glass of Champagne.
- Enjoy the last sunset of 2017 during a New Year's Eve Sunset Sail. Board the Schooner Freda B in downtown Sausalito and sail around the most iconic parts of San Francisco Bay. A New Year's Eve Fireworks Cruise is also being offered aboard the ship.

"New Year's Eve Live" With Anderson Cooper And Andy Cohen
Where to catch it: CNN
Why you should watch: For the first time ever, Anderson Cooper will host CNN's annual New Year's Eve Live special with none other than "Watch What Happens Live" host Andy Cohen. As these two are best friends in real life, you can expect tons witty banter and hilarious moments from the pair. The Bravo mogul will replace Cooper's former co-host Kathy Griffin, whom CNN fired after her controversial Donald Trump photoshoot.
"Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2018" Hosted by Ryan Seacrest
Where to catch it: ABC
Why you should watch: Remember last year's infamous Mariah Carey mic incident? Yes, it happened on Seacrest's watch. So if that's any indication, this could be a good one to tune-in to. And even if there aren't any crazy celebrity snafus, you can count on crazy views of Time Square packed with people, as well as awesome musical performances.
