Mill Valley To Present Traffic Upgrade Plans

City staff will present upgrade plans for the intersection of Camino Alto and Sycamore Avenue at a June 8 virtual community meeting.

MILL VALLEY, CA — The city of Mill Valley will hold a virtual Community Meeting next month on proposed traffic upgrades for the intersection of Camino Alto and Sycamore Avenue.

The June 8 meeting will include a city staff presentation of the proposed design and upgrades for the intersection. A rendering of this proposal can be viewed here.

The proposed upgrades for this intersection are part of the city’s proposed Safe Pathway project. The project involves various bicycle and pedestrian improvements along Camino Alto Avenue between Miller and East Blithedale Avenues.

In addition to the traffic signal upgrades, the Camino Alto/Sycamore Avenue portion of the proposed project includes the installation of accessible curb ramps, realignment of existing crosswalks, and a widening of portions of the intersection.

The June 8 meeting will be held at 5 p.m. on Zoom.
