Multiple Offers in Marin County

A colleague of mine shared some interesting statistics with me from our MLS real estate database regarding multiple offers in Marin County for the time period of January 1 through October 31 for 2013 and 2014. Here’s the breakdown:

$1 - $2 Million Dollar Properties -

% of Multiple Offers: 20.6% in 2013 and 41.4% in 2014

$2 - $3 Million Dollar Properties -

% of Multiple Offers: 12.4% in 2013 and 37.5% in 2014

$3 - $4 Million Dollar Properties -

% of Multiple Offers: 12% in 2013 and 36.8% in 2014

$4 Million Dollar and Higher Properties -

% of Multiple Offers: 9.7% in 2013 and 18% in 2014

In addition, the number of sales in Marin did not change much from 2013 and 2014 for this period of time. This shows us that the number of buyers putting offers has multiplied.
