Park School Community Turns Out in Pink to Honor Student Who Lost Brain Cancer Battle
Parents, students and teachers wear pink in conjunction with what would have been Tess Kneafsey's seventh birthday.

Park School student Tess Kneafsey lost her battle with brain cancer on Aug. 15, barely missing her seventh birthday. The lifelong Mill Valley resident would have turned seven on Wednesday, Sept. 18, and in honor of that occasion, the Park School community turned out wearing pink on Wednesday, making a heart that was photographed from above.
Tess was a recent graduate from kindergarten at Park School. According to her family, "she loved to swim, run, play with her many friends, stay up late, sleep in, the color pink, eating marshmallows, listening to music and chasing boys. Her spunky, sassy, fun loving spirit will be missed by all that knew her."
