MILL VALLEY, CA — Patch reader and former Mill Valley Arts Commissioner Michael Vogel captured this photo of the city’s “Knitting Us Together” project in which trees wrapped in woven materials.

The project was created last summer in an effort to create a sense of community when residents were getting used to social distancing amid the pandemic. It ran from August through late October.

The project was idea of the Mill Valley Chamber of Commerce.
