Search Called Off for Possible Plane Crash

Sheriff's deputies searched around Strawberry Point in the Mill Valley area but no sign of a crash was found.

Marin County sheriff’s officials said they have stopped searching for a possible plane crash Tuesday afternoon near Strawberry Point in the Mill Valley area. The U.S. Coast Guard reported a possible crash to the sheriff’s office around 3:55 p.m. but no sign of it was found, sheriff’s officials said on Twitter. Deputies ended the search around 4:15 p.m., according to the sheriff’s office. Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor said he had not heard of a crash.
