49ers Foundation Teams Up With Buffett To Teach Philanthropy
The football team based in Santa Clara will partner with Learning By Giving -- an education nonprofit founded by the Buffett family.

SANTA CLARA, CA -- The San Francisco 49ers wants its foundation's STEM Leadership Institute to team up with the investment-guru, philanthropist Warren Buffett family to teach college students the art and business of giving.
Learning By Giving is a unique course in experiential philanthropy provided at 35 colleges and universities nationwide. The pilot program being offered to the Institute students at Santa Clara High School is a first of its kind -- giving away $10,000 in donated assistance. The students' efforts will be supported over a three-year period with full scholarships to San Francisco Bay Area universities.
The extraordinary partnership will be discussed by dignitaries next week at the 49ers Levi's Stadium.
