SAN JOSE, CA — Three adults and two children were displaced following a Sunday night fire that caused substantial damage to a single-family house, San Jose firefighters said.
Firefighters were called about 8:30 p.m. Sunday to 1250 Adams Dr., in the Berryessa neighborhood near Alum Rock Park, said San Jose Fire Capt. Mitch Matlow.
Twenty-five firefighters worked to put out the fire that damaged the house's kitchen, dining room and garage, while leaving other rooms essentially with only smoke damage, Matlow said.
