Ashwini Kantak Chosen As Milpitas Deputy City Manager
She has an impressive track record at the City of San Jose, and holds a master's degree in public policy and admin from Northwestern.

MILPITAS, CA — Milpitas City Manager Julie Edmonds-Mares has named Ashwini Kantak as Deputy City Manager. As second in command, Kantak will lead a wide range of initiatives in the city.
Kantak comes from the City of San Jose, where she was Assistant Director in the Environmental Services Department which has a $310 million departmental budget and 550 employees.
"Ashwini has an outstanding record of leadership and accomplishment involving complex projects and challenging issues," said Edmonds-Mares. "She will help me and our team carry out our vision of making Milpitas a high-functioning, collaborative, customer-focused organization that will continue to improve the quality of life for the people of our community."

Kantak holds multiple degrees including a master's in public policy and administration from Northwestern University.
