Plan to take Caltrain or light rail? Here are the details for Sunday's game and the season ...

News bulletin from Caltrain:
It’s been a long offseason, but 49er football is finally returning to Levi’s Stadium and Caltrain can be a trusted partner to get the faithful to Santa Clara in time to root on their squad.
The 49ers will square off against their longtime rival the Dallas Cowboys at 5 p.m. on Sunday for the team’s preseason home opener. The rail agency has changed up its roster to provide better service to fans. Express trains will depart San Francisco at 1:59 p.m. and 2:59 p.m., making stops at Millbrae, San Mateo, Hillsdale, Redwood City and Palo Alto. Caltrain also offers regular local service along the Peninsula.

Following the game, Caltrain will operate two special northbound trains. The first train will depart 60 minutes after the game, or when full, and the second train will depart 85 minutes after the contest, or when full. Both trains will make all local stops to San Francisco.
Caltrain will provide special service for 49ers games throughout the season. More details on that service can be found here.
The 49ers will be looking to bounce back from a difficult 2014 season, when they missed the playoffs for the first time since 2010. Led by quarterback Colin Kaepernick, the 49ers will be seeking the franchise’s sixth Super Bowl trophy this year.
Caltrain is a proof-of-payment system; tickets are not sold on board trains but can be purchased at ticket machines at the stations. Fans are encouraged to purchase an adult joint Caltrain/VTA Day Pass at Caltrain ticket machines to avoid long lines after the game. The pass costs $6 more than the regular adult Caltrain Day Pass, but it is valid for unlimited rides within zone limits on Caltrain through the last train of the day and until 3 a.m. on VTA.
Caltrain reminds fans to drink responsibly and to remember that alcohol is not allowed on game-day trains beginning at 9 p.m. Food and beverage aren’t allowed on VTA.
