Upcoming Event: Learn How to Model Climate Change at Home, and What Effects Our Mitigations May Have

The evening of Earth Day, April 22nd, join us online from 6:00-7:30pm to learn how to model the effects of climate-conscious behavior and policymaking! This presentation will be brought to you by Bill Middlecamp, a Climate Reality Leader and trained En-ROADS presenter. As Milpitas moves forward with its Climate Action Plan Update, this will be a great opportunity to learn about the sorts of actions we can take, and how to see the difference we hope to make!

This event will include a Climate Reality Presentation showing the environmental-destruction impacts we are experiencing today, how we got to this point, and what the future may hold. Following that, participants will use En-ROADS to imagine together what our future could be. En-ROADS is a “choose your ending” simulation that uses some of the best available science to compute and present the results of choices in energy, food production, land-use and consumer behavior that society can make today.

Registration for the event can be found at this link and we hope to see you there for this exciting event!

Is Your Child an EcoHero?

Milpitas is excited to announce that we will be providing a show for children through a partnership with EcoHeroes. Come join us on this live-streamed show on Earth Day, 4/22 at 2:00pm for a high energy educational and interactive event to learn how you can do your part to protect the environment, and become an Eco-Hero yourself. Participate from the comfort of your own home! The only items required are internet and a device on which to watch with your kids. A link to the livestream show will be released closer to the event via social media. You can learn more about EcoHeroes through the link below: EcoHeroShow.com
