Juneteenth Celebration In Milpitas This Friday

MILPITAS, CA — Milpitas will hold a Juneteenth celebration this Friday, June 16, at Cesar Chavez Plaza, 457 E. Calaveras Blvd., from 6 - 7:30 p.m.

Juneteenth commemorates the emancipation of slaves in the Confederate South.

There will be performances by Akoma Arts, Jessica Johnson and more, along with community and education resource tables.

Light refreshments will be served.
