Merryhill Preschool Students Pack More Than 75 Gift Boxes

Pre-K students filled boxes with donated gifts to benefit children around the world, including those impacted by recent natural disasters

Pre-K students at Merryhill Preschool on Corning Avenue in Milpitas recently exceeded their goal of packing and preparing 75 gift boxes of toys, art supplies, books and more. The packages will be sent to children around the world, including those who have been affected by recent natural disasters. The boxes also contain handwritten letters from the students sending well wishes during the holidays.

The supplies and gifts in each box were collected as part of a school-wide drive to benefit Operation Christmas Child, an international humanitarian organization that sends care packages to children in need around the globe. A portion of the donated gifts will also be delivered to those who have been affected by wildfires in Paradise, Calif. Prior to preparing the boxes, students learned about friendship, different languages and compassion.
