Montessori Academy Students Donate 300 Lbs of Food and 370 Books

Montessori Academy students held food and book drives to help local families in need

Students at Montessori Academy in Eagle recently held a food drive to benefit Eagle Food Bank and collected 300 pounds of food for local families. The donations, which included stuffing, canned veggies, dried beans, rice, soup, pasta and other nonperishables, were donated to Eagle Food Bank in time for Thanksgiving.

Additionally, Montessori Academy students held a book drive this December for Book It Forward Idaho, which provides books to families in need of books to read at home. Students collected over 370 new and lightly used books to be donated to families in their community. Through these initiatives, students learned the importance of helping others in their community, especially during the holiday season.
