Motorcyclist Killed Friday in Milpitas Identified
The crash closed 237 through the morning rush hour, causing a monumental traffic jam.

MILPITAS, CA — A man killed in a motorcycle crash near Milpitas City Hall early Friday morning has been identified as 64-year-old Stephen Snyder of Modesto, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office.
Snyder was operating a 2005 custom motorcycle heading west in the 400 block of East Calaveras Boulevard around 5:30 a.m. when he ran into a center median near North Milpitas Boulevard, police Sgt. Sean Heneghan said.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and performed CPR on Snyder, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, Heneghan said.

Investigators don't suspect drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash, he said.
