Pac-12 Championship Kicking Off Large Scene For San Jose
The college football event places the San Jose metro area on a large stage.

SANTA CLARA, CA -- Heads up San Francisco Bay Area. The PAC-12 Championship Game will take place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara on Nov. 30 at 5:00 p.m.
The streets of downtown San Jose and Santa Clara are expected to be packed for such a monumental sporting event pitting Utah against Washington.
San Jose's urban core will be on display for the College Football Playoff championship weekend, a four-day celebration surrounding the title game to be played on Jan. 7.

It isn’t as if big sports events are a novelty to San Jose. The city had a significant role in Super Bowl 50 festivities in 2016. The Carolina Panthers were headquartered downtown and practicing at San Jose State.
Big concerts will be staged at Discovery Meadow. The ESPN anchor desk will be located at Chavez Plaza, which will be transformed into “The Quad.” McEnery Convention Center space will be filled up with a fan festival. Major parties are booked for the City National Civic Auditorium. All of these locations are within walking distance of each other.
