Pedestrian Struck On I-680 Offramp In San Jose

Emergency crews were performing CPR on the man.

SAN JOSE, CA — A pedestrian who was struck on the Berryessa Road off-ramp from southbound Interstate Highway 680 early this morning has been taken to a hospital with major injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP said a motorist called 911 just after 5:30 a.m. today to report they may have hit a pedestrian, but couldn't locate them right away.

Fire crews arrived on the scene and found the victim, an unidentified man, and started CPR before taking him to a local hospital.
