Santa Clara County has the second largest population of Vietnamese outside of Vietnam. County representatives contend the federal government's latest anti-immigrant maneuvering is expected to separate families and hurt communities.
The county welcomes all immigrants and will continue to monitor reports of the administration’s move to renegotiate the 2008 Repatriation Agreement (MOU). Several representatives from various organizations that provide deportation relief efforts will share the podium with community leaders.
