“Niles Rotary has always cared about our community whether Global or Local and we saw a need during the Covid-19 pandemic in our schools affect it has had on these students,” said Audrey Kearns, committee chair and incoming club president.
“Distance learning is hard at best and with old equipment or no equipment, to allow students to continue their education as many are in danger of falling behind,” she added.

The Rotary Club of Niles Fremont contacted 3 elementary schools as our members have a personal connection. We were able to see how we could help, and each principal was ecstatic that we wanted to raise funds for Chromebooks.
Chromebooks are getting old, breaking down and whether used at home or hopefully, someday soon, back in the classroom, these Chromebooks will continue to allow our schools to provide the best education possible.
