Sandy Wool Lake Fills Up (Photos)
The drought is finally over and the lake in Ed Levin Park looks like a lake again.
MILPITAS, CA — After years of looking more like a puddle than a lake, Sandy Wool Lake has filled up nicely following back-to-back storms in January and February.
Last weekend, fishermen young and old lined the banks of the lake casting lines in hopes of landing trout. Elsewhere in Ed Levin Park, people enjoyed picnics, a large birthday party, hang gliding and the dog park. This coming weekend should be equally nice.
