Traffic Advisory For Santa Clara Friday At Levi Stadium

Santa Clara police is issuing a warning of possible traffic jams around Levi Stadium Friday with double-header, high-school football slated.

SANTA CLARA, CA -- Heads up motorists for Friday night lights. This end-of-the-work-week night should be quite busy in the area of Levi Stadium off Marie P. DeBartolo Way as the San Francisco 49ers organization will host a double header involving area high schools, police advise. The games pit Saratoga versus Santa Clara and Los Gatos versus Homestead. About 2,000 spectators are expected to descend on the stadium.

No road closures are anticipated, but motorists are advised to watch out for pedestrians -- in particular on Tasman Drive. Santa Clara police would also like to remind drivers to not park in residential zones and to monitor their surroundings and for suspicious behavior.

Levi Stadium prohibits all bags, backpacks and other carriers from being brought into the stadium except for items in an NFL-approved clear bag, similar Ziplock type or a small clutch purse.
