Students at Merryhill Elementary School Raise $810 for Food Bank

Students held a virtual food drive to raise funds for Second Harvest of Silicon Valley

Students at Merryhill Elementary School in San Jose recently raised $810 for Second Harvest of Silicon Valley food bank to benefit local families in need. Merryhill School students held a virtual food drive by collecting monetary donations for the food bank to provide meals to community members during the holiday season, and successfully exceeded their $750 fundraising goal. Additionally, students additionally created holiday cards in both English and Spanish to provide cheer to local seniors who may not be able to spend the holidays with their loved ones. Through these initiatives, students learned the importance of spreading kindness and helping others.
