UnitedHealthcare Brings Awareness to Diabetes at Day on the Bay
Local UnitedHealthcare employees partnered with the Santa Clara Public Health Department to focus on diabetes management and prevention
Employees from UnitedHealthcare were proud to participate in the 9th annual Day on the Bay Multicultural Festival, held on October 7 at Alviso Marina County Park. UnitedHealthcare partnered with the Santa Clara Public Health Department to distribute health materials and pre-diabetes assessments at the multi-cultural and multi-generational event. With a theme of ‘healthy living’, the UnitedHealthcare and Public Health teams sponsored a booth with fun games, kid-friendly materials on healthy eating and exercise, plus an appearance by Dr. Health E. Hound. Attended by approximately 12,000 people, the annual Santa Clara County festival was full of fun “healthy living” activities, exhibits, and entertainment.
