
A 20-year-old woman killed in her Milpitas home Monday has been identified as Danica Bascos.
Police have not identified the victim, but friends and family have identified her on social media as Bascos.
A GoFundMe account set up for the family of Bascos, an only child, had raised $2,865 of its $5,000 goal as of this morning.

Kevin Van Nguyen, 26, of San Jose, was arrested in connection with the homicide and has been booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail without bail.
Officers found the woman unresponsive at a home in the 500 block of Manzano Street around 4 p.m. Monday and determined she died of multiple stab wounds, police said. Detectives identified Nguyen as the suspect and arrested him around 7 a.m. Tuesday at a San Jose home with assistance from a SWAT team, police said.

The suspect and victim were previously acquainted but police have not clarified their exact relationship with one another.
The death marks Milpitas’ first homicide this year, police said.
“If you knew Danica, she was a very sweet girl. She didn’t deserve this,” the organizer of the GoFundMe page wrote.
