2 vehicle collision on I5 North past the Lake Forest overpass

At 11:08am today Orange County Fire Authority was dispatch to a 2 vehicle collision on I5 North just past the Lake Forest overpass. OCFA Battalion 5, Engines 19, 22, 222 and truck 22 all responded to the incident. Numerous California Highway Patrol officers assisted at the incident and four Flack ambulances were assigned to transport occupants of the vehicles.

Debris from the collision spread all over the location and some debris flew over the center median causing problems in the I5 South lanes opposite the collision. One of the ambulances headed south in the carpool lane experienced a huge blowout and had to stop in traffic lanes. An additional ambulance responded to that blowout in order to complete the transport of the victim being taken to area hospital.

Two motorcyclists were seen stopped at the seen providing assistance. Conditions of the victim is unknown at this time.
