Business Spotlight: Mission Viejo Florist

As the business nears its second decade of service to Mission Viejo customers, Mission Viejo Florist has gotten some attention.

The shop was the city's "Featured Business" on Oct. 23.

Owner Joni Marie O’Neill explained the pride she feels from seeing her work on display:

"I will never be famous nor will I see my name in some history book, but every time I see a picture of a bride holding the bouquet I designed for her, or a family sitting around a Thanksgiving arrangement that I made, a piece of me is left behind in those photos for generations that will never have met me or that I will ever know. That is the gift of owning a florist, especially in Mission Viejo."
MVF started with three employees, and how employs nine.

The business also donates to local schools and reserves some of its refrigerated space to the nonprofit Abundant Harvest.
