The Mission Viejo Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution donated five brand new laptop computers to Saddleback College students who are U.S. Veterans. Saddleback College Veterans Center Director Terence Nelson received the computers last week and has given them to veteran students who are in need of a computer for their studies at Saddleback College. He commented that the gift was very timely as many classes are now distance learning.

One of the veterans who received a computer is an Army Ranger combat veteran with 20 years of service. Another one is a U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran with 14 years of service. Both veterans were extremely grateful to receive their new laptops. The remaining three computers will go to other deserving students who are U.S. veterans.

According to Mission Viejo DAR Regent Penny Sander, the money for the computers came from Mission Viejo DAR Chapter fundraisers, such as the Oktoberfest event last Fall, and from donations.
