Donation Drive for adopted Marine Battalion set for July 17
Donate items for care packages as well as baby items for our City's adopted Marines.

Help support the men and women who fight for our freedoms during a special Donation Drive from 9 to 11 am on Saturday, July 17 at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center.
Led by the Mission Viejo Marines and Sailors Adoption Committee, the drive-through event will benefit members of the City’s adopted Headquarters Battalion, 1st Marine Division with donations that will be used for care packages and baby baskets.
Items sought for care packages sent to deployed troops include razors, socks, jerky, foot powder and eye drops as well as baby items – diapers, shampoo, lotion, etc., – for expecting Marine families. The process for donating is simple: put your donations in your trunk, drive up, pop the trunk and staff will collect them. (Please remain in your car while your donations are collected.)
If you can’t attend the drive-through event and want to donate, make a tax-deductible donation to the MV Community Foundation. Monetary donations will help purchase items not collected at the drive-through event. Write “Care Packages” or “Baby Items” in the donation note field.
