MISSION VIEJO, CA —Wind and rain in Mission Viejo toppled a large tree into the roadway, Monday afternoon, officials reported.

City maintenance workers were on the case to cut apart the downed tree just south of Entidad, at approximately 1:45 p.m.

Mission Viejo Police Services alerted residents to avoid the large 30-foot tree that was blocking the northbound roadway due to Monday's rainstorm.

The #2 lane of Los Alisos was blocked, and drivers were asked to find alternate routes until after 2:30 p.m.
