Gusty Winds, Warm Weather Ahead In Mission Viejo, Orange County
The National Weather Service announced that much of Inland Orange County would experience extreme winds due to Santa Anas through Thursday.
MISSION VIEJO, CA — A Santa Ana wind event begins in Southern California Tuesday bringing clear skies and warmer weather through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
Expect windy weather over the next few days, according to reports from the National Weather Service. All Orange County inland cities, including Santa Ana, Anaheim, Garden Grove, Orange, Fullerton, and Mission Viejo, would start feeling the effects Wednesday afternoon into Thursday, they said.
Northeast winds would blow sustained from 20 to 30 miles per hour, with gusts up to 50 miles per hour, they said. Batten down your hatches and secure your outdoor furniture, patio umbrellas, and throw pillows.

"Gusting winds may blow around unsecured objects," an NWS spokesperson said. With such strong winds, downed tree limbs and power outages were possible.

"Use extra caution while driving, especially if operating high profile vehicles," they said.
Winds will give way to a warm weekend across the Southland.
