In celebration of Mother's Day on Sunday May 13, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their mother and let us deliver it. This is Jolie Brady's letter to her mom:
Dear Mom,
Because of you, I am the woman I am today. You're the mom everyone wishes they had. It's true. You are the most selfless woman I know, always putting others before your own needs. You are beautiful both inside and out, and I'm so lucky to call you my mom.
Thank you for being my best friend and going on life's adventures with me. From hiking Bend, Oregon's most beautiful sights and swimming with stingrays in the Grand Cayman to catching beads on Bourbon Street and eating Chicago dogs while watching the Cubs play in Wrigley Field, I couldn't have asked for a better partner in crime.
Thank you for all the laughter growing up. You make this world a brighter place. Thank you for being my mentor and biggest cheerleader. I have some big, pink, fluffy slippers to fill.
